Delicious Organics did offer Nature Boy and Girl Diapers.  However, Norsea Natural is no longer in business.  It all disappeared amidst angry parents who felt "duped" because the company stated these were compostable and contained no super-absorbent-gel-polymer when they did indeed.  Though they stated "Mother Nature Thanks You" on the diaper as positive reinforcement, these diapers unfortunately offered no additional environmental safety precautions or benefits.  For more on diapering options click here.

Maybe they will be resurrected since they were so well loved, only with truths and more care for our environment.  They had stated:

Based on a patented Swedish Design, these diapers are thin, soft and really work!  The diapers and the bag in which the diapers are contained is made of a breathable GMO-free cornstarch-based film.  The construction of the diapers uses more natural materials.  Unfortunately, it is bleached for aesthetics; they are cute.

Good for the Baby

Instead of being constructed like an ordinary disposable diaper, Nature boy & girl is based on a patented Swedish design.

This means that they can make it soft and thin, and still keep the baby dry. In fact, our diapers perform as well as the market leaders.

Good for the Environment

Instead of ordinary plastic, the outer layer of the Nature boy & girl diaper is based on natural materials, a breathable,
GMO-free biological cornstarch-based film. Compared to the market leaders, we use more materials made from natural resources than conventional disposable diapers that have plastic backsheets and packaging.

Through the benefit of a totally unique construction, this diaper is thin, comfortable and stays dry longer. It is superior to current disposable diapers in carrying liquid away from the skin quickly. Instead of leaving a wet surface, moisture gathers in a separate compartment, safely away from the child's tender bottom. The result is a diaper which helps prevent the irritation of baby's skin that causes diaper rash.

  • Their product was originally based upon a patented, Swedish invention, which allows us to use more natural materials than leading disposable diapers, while using less material, overall, in their construction.

  • Are you concerned about super absorbent polymer? (Disposable Diapers: Effective and safe) We do use super absorbent polymer in our diapers, as do the vast majority of disposable diapers, feminine hygiene products, and other consumer goods, worldwide.  Superabsorbent is used because it works and it is safe.  Even those diapers that choose to use substantially more pulp in place of superabsorbent acknowledge the safety of this material on their packaging which states, “While these chemical absorbents are not known to cause harm…” Superabsorbent polymer has many applications other than personal absorptive products, as well.

There are other research projects underway on other components of the diaper to complete our goal of a 100% compostable diaper delivered in compostable packaging. We will keep you posted on this progress.
