We believe, as many others do – “Less is often better”. Milk is one of nature’s most perfect foods, and we plan to keep it that way. We are opposed to the use of any hormones (BST/BGH) and the use of antibiotics on our animals. Our animals are humanely cared for in spacious, clean environment and allowed to freely roam the pastures.

Most foods today are overprocessed and altered by excessive heat and chemicals. We believe, as many others do-“Less is often better.” By using the “VAT” method of pasteurization, (low temperature), as opposed to extremely high temperatures (flash) pasteurization, more natural vitamins, nutrients, minerals and enzymes remain. This VAT method was used by all small dairy farmers’ years ago, and has been forgotten for quicker, cheaper methods. Of course, we will not homogenize or separate any of our dairy products. If you prefer a 1 or 2% milk, simply remove the cream that naturally rises to the top. Cream is excellent in baking and cooking, or use for your own farm fresh butter and whipping cream. If you prefer richer milk, shake well before each use.

The low-temperature pasteurized milks are heated at 145 degrees for 30 minutes.  This process kills any harmful bacteria that might be present but still preserves 85% of the nutritional value of raw milk.  None of our milks are homogenized and therefore you will get that wonderful cream top that can be shaken back through your milk or you can skim it for making butter, or using in coffee or cooking.  Our milks are All Natural – no added hormones, steroids or chemical and no antibiotics.  Our livestock are free range and the majority of their diet is from pasture although they are supplemented with grains and hay when needed.
