From the ancient town of Salemi in western Sicily comes this organic marzipan of unsurpassed quality. The fine texture and clean, simple flavor makes cakes, candies and cookies more delicious than ever. Try it by itself as a candy. Contains only organic Palma Girgenti and Mandorla Cuore almonds, organic cane sugar, and organic vanilla. No milk powder, flour, or lecithin. This marzipan is also used in Italy to make a superb almond drink (latte di mandorla). Place 1 quart of water and 2/3 of package contents in a blender.   Magliano Organic Rose Syrup

  From the Chianti Hills of Tuscany. Isabella Devetta grows an antique variety of rose called "Gallica." Each May she harvests the rose petals in the morning, when they are freshest, and adds them to spring water, organic cane sugar, and a dash of organic lemon juice. She then cooks the mixture down to a rich syrup in her workshop located right on her farm. Use as a sweetener in tea, water or Indian lassi yogurt drink. Pour over ice cream, shaved ice, crepes, cheesecake or panna cotta. A wonderful ingredient for ice creams and sorbets, as well as a mixer in white wine, champagne and cocktails.
